Depeche Mode Edit

This is an edit i did a while back, but i always really liked this song. I kept it pretty simple, but still thinks it works well. It kind of has a similar sound to alot of the 80's electro remixes that are coming out recently, so it should be able to stay relevant during your sets. I dont know if Eli Escobar did a re-edit of this already, but it sounds like a song he would do. Oh well!

enjoy

Can't wait for the album. Liked the other 2. Liked the Kenna project that Chad was involved with. This is a nice little teaser.

Random Rips Vol 3

Well i wasn't going to post this already, but somebody asked me on another board to post something like the Daddy's Favorite rip in "Random Rips Vol 1", so here it is. This has been a dancefloor starter for years, since i got it in the late 90's. The original version of "Stomp", by The Brothers Johnson is great on its own, and this edit does a great job of keeping it simple and effective.

Enjoy

The Brothers Johnson - Stomp (Razzmatazz Edit) (Whitelabel)

Random Rips Vol 2

This is an incredibe album, every song on here is money. The cut you all know from this is the bboy favorite - blow the whistle - which is a staple in break and boogie sets all over and also sampled by Swizzy to do Eve's "Tambourine". Here's 2 cuts from the album that are my favorites!!!!

Soul Searchers - Funk To The Folks

Soul Searchers - If It Ain't Funky

Bonus - My "Tambourine" Edit is still up on The Rub mp3 page if you don't have it.

The Ultimate Calabria Round-Up

It's no surprise that this song is one of the biggest hits in any djs arsenal these days, and has been for quite some time. The song originally came out in 2006, but really gained steam in the last 6 months. Not that i'm sick of playing it, but i'm sure it will be a little passe soon. So here's enough joints to do the ultimate calabria megamix, and then be done with it!

My personal favorite is this MAW multiblend. When i first heard the original, i thought to myself that MAW are probably killing this shit, and that maybe they even produced it. This version will have the longest legs no doubt.

MAW vs Enur - Work Calabria Sugar

I heard a bmore edit by the only dudes worth checking for on Crooklyn Clan - Discotech - but it still wasnt quite right. I re-arranged it and added a couple things and it has been killing it for me as well. Big ups Discotech!

Bmore Calabria (Illo Edit)

The first version i started playing was this extended version of the original. Nice & simple, but still works really well. Alot of girls will want you to play this version.

Enur ft Natasja - Extended Original Edit

Shortly after i got the og, i discovered that the homey Hatchmatik had done a remix as well. The good dudes over at Discobelle included it in their years best tracks list so you can cop it over there.

Discobelle Xmas Treats - Hatchmatik

Who can get enough of Pitbull, i mean really. Sometimes i end up playing 6 Pitbull tunes in one set. Guaranteed party starter like no other (in my opinion). Here's his take on the old classic latin tune, with a little help from Lil Jon.

Pitbull ft Lil Jon - The Anthem

And finally, i've heard from my homey Grandtheft that Dj Scene is one of the premier club djs in the states, but i never had a chance to hear any of his work before. This is the first piece of work i had the priviledge of hearing and its hella dope. Go to his myspace and check him out

New Roots x Dilla Demo

The Homey DJ Soul (who has one of the best blogs out there) wrote an incredible review of The OkayPlayer Holiday Party and was nice enough to attach an mp3 demo of a new Roots song produced by none other than James Yancey. Go to Soul's blog and say thanks!
